Eireworks Carbon Components (“Eireworks”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of personal data where we decide how and why it is used. Privacy enquiries can be sent to build@eireworks.cc.

Information we collect
The information involved depends on how you use the site or communicate with us:
The product cart stores selected item details in your own browser. We do not receive that cart information unless you include it in a quote request. Please do not send sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for your enquiry.

How and why we use information
We process personal information only where there is an appropriate legal basis:
- Contract and pre-contract steps: preparing quotes, checking product compatibility, confirming availability, managing orders, delivery, returns, and warranty support.
- Legal obligations: keeping records required for tax, accounting, consumer protection, product safety, and responding to lawful requests.
- Legitimate interests: answering enquiries, protecting the website, preventing misuse, maintaining business records, and improving customer support where those interests do not override your rights.
- Consent: optional direct marketing or another purpose for which we specifically ask permission. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
We do not currently use personal information for solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Optional newsletter choices are recorded only to preserve your stated preference; no marketing messages are sent unless a suitable mailing system and unsubscribe process are introduced.

How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for its purpose:
- enquiries and quotes are retained while active and for a reasonable follow-up period;
- order, payment, tax, and accounting records are retained for the period required by applicable law;
- support, return, and warranty records may be kept for the relevant product-support period and while a legal claim could arise; and
- marketing contact details are retained until consent is withdrawn or the information is no longer needed.
We may keep limited information longer where required to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim, comply with law, prevent fraud, or record that you opted out of marketing. Browser-local cart information is controlled through your browser rather than retained in an Eireworks customer database.

Your GDPR rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:
- access your personal data and receive information about its use;
- correct incomplete or inaccurate information;
- request erasure or restriction of eligible processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests and always object to direct marketing;
- receive certain information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent without affecting processing already carried out lawfully; and
- complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission.
These rights are not absolute and their availability depends on the legal basis and circumstances. Email your request to build@eireworks.cc. We may request enough information to verify your identity and protect your data from unauthorised disclosure. We aim to respond within one month, subject to extensions allowed by law for complex or multiple requests.

Security and international transfers
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures appropriate to the information we handle. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use care when deciding what to send electronically.
Some service providers may process information outside Ireland or the European Economic Area. Where GDPR requires it, those transfers must rely on a recognised mechanism such as an adequacy decision, the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, or another lawful safeguard.
This site is intended for adult customers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information can contact us to request appropriate action.
